While we are at Currunbin Bird Sanctuary we stopped to see the aborigional dancing exibition. The dances are used to convey stories about events that have significance to the tribe. Pictured here are members of the Fingal tribe of northern New South Wales dancing one of their dances. |
![]() | Part of the attractions at the Superbee was a storybook land based upon childrens books. And one of the most popular books of all time is Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. Here is Glenys filling in for Goldilocks and sitting at the 3 bears table. Although she doesn't have blonde hair, there was never a better looking Goldilocks. |
Is this what Glenys does to her men when they don't behave themselves? Here Rick is pictured in the stocks at Superbee looking quite happy with himself. Maybe he was a very naughty boy ;) |
Although we had a map of the place, we still managed to get misdirected at Currumbin. I thought that it might be a good idea to get directions form one of the natives. He wasn't much for conversation and his directions were totally useless, but he does take a lovely picture. Rick had this thing about following birds around while he was in Australia..he chased a few bush turkeys and the odd ibis..but I think he bit off more than he could chew when he started following this emu..it is a frightening to come face to face with such a big bird. |
