Welcome to Wattle's and Bumbler's Holiday Pictures, The Many Faces Of Wattle Page

No recounting of our time together could ever be complete without showing all of the faces of Wattle. In so many ways her wonderful childlike amazement at things was a joy to behold. Here she is on the second day of her visit on the upper landing of the Statue of Liberty looking very patriotic with a flag seemingly stuck in her hair. The flag was actually miles away. I think the statue was as happy to have her there as I was.

I had always told Glenys about my love of mountain climbing. And I would have been very remiss if I hadn't brought her to one of my favorite mountains. Here she is as she sits a little tiredly on the summit of Mt Cardigan. The day was cool and crisp...the temperature at the summit was just above freezing. The best part of the whole trip was the view that can be seen from the top. This is also the site where the inclouds picture on the first page was taken.

The childlike bits of Wattle are readily apparent in this photo. She is standing under the extended paw of a stuffed bear in the gift shop at Niagra Falls, Ontario. It was wonderful to watch her scramble in for a picture as soon as that spot had been vacated. I would have put up the picture of her with the moose hat on ..... but she wouldn't let me scan that one. I suppose there are limits to the child in all of us.

Wattle's love of animals is clear in this picture. We had decided to stop at Seaworld after visiting Niagra Falls. While we were there she touched an orca (killer whale) and stopped to get friendly with the hundred or so live deer that are kept. Oh...and when you get a chance, ask her about feeding the live bears that were in another section. I know she will love telling you the story. And ask her about the rollercoaster ride I dragged her kicking and screaming onto.
