On Walkabout at the Coast

This is the view that greeted us each morning from the window of our apartment at Caloundra. It was a lovely place on the Sunshine coast just far enough off the beaten track to allow us to have a bit of privacy while still near all the action (The bottle shop was in the next street). It was a great place come home to after a long day of bushwhacking. There were lovely barbies just at the seaside and we had a wonderful authentic Aussie barbie in between rainstorms there one day.
Here is Rick in 2 states at once..no..not the state of dishevellment and the state of confusion..I mean he is on the border of Queensland and New South Wales.

Here is a picture of the sign identifying the most famous beach in Australia. It took a very steady hand to take this picture and get all of the sign in. Oh...by the way...that is Rick standing there too..see him?..the small dot in the distance, waving.

Glenys got to stand in the Atlantic Ocean when she visited Rick and so it was only fair that Rick dipped his dogs in the Pacific. The water was still much warmer here in the middle of the Australian winter than it was over there in the American summer. Although he was worried about the voracious sealife known to inhabit the coastal waters of Australia, Rick still ventured into the water.....and never even got his toes nibbled by as much as a crab.
