It is hard to convery in words all that we shared during Wattle's visit. It has been said that a picture can say more than a thousand words can. These pictures really show the truth of those words. Here we are standing inside the hiking lodge on the top of Mount Washington. We were very grateful for two things ....the warmth of the lodge and the pleasantness of the company. You have seen that Wattle considered the time she spent in New England to be the happiest of her life, I will say that they were the happiest of mine too.
We finally sorted out how to make the timer on the camera work after 2 1/2 weeks of trying. This picture was take in Bumbler's lounge room as we were sitting on the lounge. Directly behind the lounge is a picture window that looks out onto street. I don't know if Wattle smiles as broadly all the time but I know that in the time she was here, she never seemed to stop smiling. And I can also tell you that her smile is very genuine and heartwarming.
There are times when a cuddle can get you through anything. In this case it was getting Wattle through the trial of pressing all her clothes do that she could pack to get home. Not visible in the picture is a small mountain of clothes waiting to be ironed. Isn't it a pity that they don't make disposable clothes for holidays???? By the way, we always seemed to find a reason for cuddles during the 3 weeks Wattle was here...
